Japanese Equity Fund Manager, London
Successful Global long-only equity boutique with strong performance record (AUM $4bn) is looking for a fund manager to run the Japanese carve-outs of its international funds. The house has a clear value-driven and long-term research process, with a lot of focus on five years earnings growth and dividend yield. Portfolios are larger cap and very concentrated. The fund manager will have the chance to cover some Asia ex-Japan markets too, eg Korea, but this will not be the main role. Looking for genuine value investors with at least seven years Japanese equity experience and preferably more, including three years or so identifiable good performance record. Japanese language skills very helpful, if not essential, while CFA or MBA designation would be desirable. Excellent remuneration.
