PHILOSOPHY

Our philosophy relies on providing professional and innovative recruitment solutions that are results orientated. We employ a number of methodologies tailored to clients’ particular requirements, utilising our in-house database and research capabilities, as well as search and advertised selection techniques. Our consulting team all bring significant experience in fund management or investment banking, giving them an excellent understanding of their sectors.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE

We focus on front office requirements in fund management, hedge funds and equity sales, research and trading. These range from long/short equity fund managers to private client portfolio managers, and from equity salesmen to analysts. Geographically we are particularly strong in the Japanese, Asian and Global Emerging markets, but we have also been developing a European franchise. Our scope of activity covers search assignments throughout Europe and the UK and we have also been successful in sourcing fund managers and equity analysts from overseas to work in Asia and Japan. Our clients range from major investment banks to fast growing hedge funds.

MANAGING PARTNER: RUPERT HARDY

An alumnus of INSEAD, the business school, he has specialised in middle to senior level financial recruitment for eleven years. Previously he had over thirteen years’ experience of the Japanese and Asian stockmarkets.He was primarily based in London working for Citicorp Scrimgeour Vickers as a senior stockbroker and research director, but also spent some years as a fund manager at IFM Asset Management, a hedge fund manager, in Hong Kong. He managed Asian research teams for Sun Hung Kai and GK Goh there as well. He is also a fluent French speaker.

Hardy Financial is a member of e-Search International, which is a global alliance of eleven search firms covering Europe, Asia and the US, operating in complementary areas, particularly financial services, commerce and IT . Incarter International, Stanlake Search, Hudson Bay, BCMP Interim and Mary Holland Associates are members in the UK. SC Group and Rusillo & Gardner are members in the US, while in Paris there is Cabinet Henri Philippe. There is the Nations Group in Spain and Partners at Work in the Netherlands too.
